Pine Glades Natural Area is largely wet. It is nearly 6,700 acres of wet prairies, marshes, ponds and wet flatwoods punctuated by cypress domes, slash pines and cabbage palms. Much of it is wide open. It is among the newest natural areas in Palm Beach County, having just opened in 2014.

A wetland wonderland, the 6,651-acre Pine Glades Natural Area attracts colorful wading birds including roseate spoonbill, great blue heron, little blue heron, and white ibis. Public use facilities include restrooms, picnic tables, information kiosks, observation platform, fishing pier, kayak launch area, and seven miles of hiking trails. Try this 1.6-mile out-and-back trail near Jupiter, Florida. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 27 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
